Performing PSR Exams

To perform a PSR exam:

1. On the Exams tab in the Charting for window, click Perio Screening Exam on the Patient Exams toolbar. If no PSR exam exists for the patient, skip to step 3.

2. Select an option:

5. To indicate bleeding after probing:To indicate bleeding after probing:Select 1 from the appropriate sextant drop-down list.

6. To indicate supragingival or subgingival calculus or defective margins:To indicate supragingival or subgingival calculus or defective margins:Select 2 from the appropriate sextant drop-down list.

7. To indicate the colored area of the probe remains partly visible in the deepest crevice of the sextant:To indicate the colored area of the probe remains partly visible in the deepest crevice of the sextant:Select 3 from the appropriate sextant drop-down list.

8. To indicate a probing depth greater than 5.5 mm:To indicate a probing depth greater than 5.5 mm:Select 4 from the appropriate sextant drop-down list.

9. To add a note to a sextant:To add a note to a sextant:Click the appropriate S # and Note button. Then type the note in the field beneath the buttons.

4. Click Save Exam.

5. To display the next exam, click Next Exam.
