If you saved x-rays to the wrong chart, you can copy or move the x-rays to another area on your computer and then import them into the correct chart.
The instructions below reference specific windows in CS Imaging, but the steps are similar for other imaging products.
To move x-rays that were accidentally saved to the wrong chart:
Open CS Imaging for the patient where the x-rays are located.
Click History Open. The Patient History window is displayed.
Select the List tab.
Highlight the x-rays that need to be moved, and click Send to. The Export window is displayed.
Tip: Press and hold Shift and select the x-rays if they are grouped in succession, or press and hold Ctrl and select individual x-rays.
Click Select next to the Folder location field, select Desktop from the drop-down list, and click OK.
The File Format field defaults to Carestream files - Large format. Keep this setting and click OK.
Open CS Imaging for the patient needing the x-rays and select File > Import Image File. The Import a File window is displayed.
In the Look in field, select Desktop from the drop-down list.
Select the x-rays you want to import and click Open.
Tip: Press and hold Shift and select the x-rays if they are grouped in succession, or press and hold Ctrl and select individual x-rays.
When you are satisfied that the x-rays are in the correct patient's chart, return to the patient's chart containing the incorrect x-rays, open CS Imaging, and select File > Delete. The Patient History window is displayed.
On the List tab, select the incorrect x-rays, and click OK. A prompt asking you to confirm the deletion is displayed.
Click Delete.
DO NOT delete the x-rays until you are certain they are in the correct patient record. Deleted x-rays are not retrievable.
