Running the Fix Balance MisMatch Utility

Run this utility to locate and correct patient and account balance mismatches.

To correct patient and account balance mismatches:

  1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

  2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

  3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

  4. Select Maintenance > Fix Balance Mismatch. After the process is complete, a message informs you of the number of patient mismatches found and corrected.

  5. Click OK. A message informs you of the number of account mismatches found and corrected.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Restart the software.
