Plans provide medical or dental coverage for patients on medical assistance or welfare.
Providers negotiate contracts with these plans for reimbursements.
Plans might vary.
Medicaid plans are always a patient’s primary insurance.
These plans are similar to capitation plans because you submit procedures at a reduced fee rather than write off adjustments.
If most services in each procedural class require the same copayment:
Select Cov’d.
Type the amount in the Copay field on the Coverage tab of the Insurance Plan window.
If only a few procedures are covered within a procedural class:
Deselect Cov’d.
Enter the covered codes in the plan’s bluebook.
