Patient budget plans can be used for any procedure; if you use them for orthodontics, however, you can also create an ortho insurance case to track claim re-submission. The charges are posted monthly to the patient's Transactions window. There are no finance charges associated with patient budget plans.
Each patient can have:
One budget plan at a time associated with his or her record
A patient budget plan and an account budget plan associated with his or her account
