Running the Fix Dr $ Utility

Run this utility to find all transactions for a specified production doctor and change the collection doctor. However, you cannot change the collection doctor in the provider record from this utility.

To change production doctor information:

  1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

  2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

  3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

  4. Select Maintenance > Fix Dr $. The Transaction Doctor to Pay Fix window is displayed.

  5. Type the provider identification number for the production doctor for whom you want to change production information in the Enter Production Dr field.

  6. Type the provider identification number for the production doctor whom you want to be the collection doctor in the Enter Dr to Pay for Production Dr field.

  7. Click OK. A message asks you whether to run the utility.

  8. Click Yes. A message informs you how many transactions were scanned and changed.

  9. Click OK. A message informs you the process is complete.

  10. Click OK.

  11. Restart the software.
