Running the SoftDent Error Log File Utility

Run this utility to correct a problem that occurred while running the software. This error log file contains records of any errors encountered while processing data files. If you encounter a problem, your technical support representative may suggest you print this file.

To run the SoftDent error log file utility:

  1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

  2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

  3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

  4. Select Report > SoftDent Error Log File. The Action Options window is displayed.

  5. To print the file, select Print and click OK.

  6. Delete this file after you print it.
