E-mailing Documents

You can use the software to e-mail clinical images, claim documents, patient documents, portrait images, and case presentation module presentations.

Before you e-mail documents, set up an E-mail Client outside of the software.

To e-mail a document or image:

  1. In the Documents for window, select the document or image and click E-Mail, or select the command from the Options section of the Express bar. The SoftDent E-Mail window is displayed.

  2. Select an option:

To send the e-mail to the primary insurance company, the primary insurance plan, a lab that has an open lab case, or a referring doctor associated with the patient:To send the e-mail to the primary insurance company, the primary insurance plan, a lab that has an open lab case, or a referring doctor associated with the patient:Select the party from the Recipient drop-down list.

  4. To send the e-mail to another party:To send the e-mail to another party:Type the recipient’s name in the Name field and the e-mail address in the Address field.

  1. Type information in the Subject and Message fields. A tree view of all documents, images, and charts associated with this patient is displayed in the Documents and Images section. Place the mouse over an image or document to view details.

  2. To attach an additional document or image to the e-mail, select it from the Documents and Images section, and click Add. Place the mouse over an image in the Attached Images section to view details.

  3. To remove a document or image from the Attached Images section, right-click the document or image and select Remove Image.

  4. To send the e-mail, click OK (Send).
