To block a slot

\SDB# [DESC]

(Enter the command \SDB# and a description about the blocked slot on the appointment line.)

[NOTE]

(Enter a note in the note field on the Palm organizer.)

Note: The # in the command stands for a specific operatory. An "A" may also be used in this position; the "A" represents all operatories.

Places a blocked slot in the Daybook that includes the description and note information you entered.

If you place this command on an appointment entry, inserts a memo in the memo list that indicates a blocked slot request. The memo displays in blue.

To place a slot note in the Daybook

\SDN# [DESC]

(Enter the command \SDN# and a description about the note on the appointment line.)

(Enter a note in the note field on the Palm organizer.)

Note: The # in the command stands for a specific operatory. An "A" may also be used in this position; the "A" represents all operatories.

Places a slot note in the Daybook for the specified time that includes the description and note information you entered.

To enter a memo

\SDM[FREQ] [DESC]

(Enter the command \SDM and a description about the memo on the appointment line.

An optional frequency parameter can also be entered. Frequency parameters include:

N: No Frequency

D: Daily Frequency

W: Weekly Frequency  

M: Monthly Frequency)

[NOTE]

(Enter a note in the note field on the Palm  organizer.)

Places a memo in the memo list for the date specified; memo content includes the memo description and note information you entered on the Palm organizer. The memo displays in blue.

To remind you to cancel an appointment

\SDC[N] [EXISTING APPT]

(Enter the command \SDC and a description about the appointment cancellation on the address line.)

The "N" is optional; if used, a specific request for patient notification will be made.

Places a reminder memo in the memo list that specifies an appointment should be cancelled, based on the description and note information you entered on the Palm organizer. The memo displays in blue.

If you enter the optional N, a memo displays in SoftDent, requesting that you notify the patient of the cancellation. The memo displays in blue.

To remind you to make an appointment for a specific time slot

\SDA# [DESC]

(Enter the command \SDA# and a description about the appointment on the appointment line.)

[NOTE]

(Enter a note in the note field on the Palm organizer.)

Note: The # in the command specifies the operatory.

Places a reminder memo in the memo list AND a placeholder in the Daybook; they specify an appointment should be made. The memo displays in blue.
