Running the Delete History Appointments Utility

The Delete History Appointments utility removes all history appointments prior to a date you specify.

To remove history appointments:

1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

4. Select Maintenance > Delete History Appointments. The Delete History Appointments window is displayed. The Before field is populated by default with a date that is three years prior to the current date.

5. Click OK to run the utility, or click the drop-down arrow to display a calendar and select a different date.

6. Click OK.

7. The utility log file (sdutils.log) displays the date prior to which history appointments have been deleted and the number of appointments deleted.
