Using the Contact Expert Window

The Contact Expert window contains all the information you need to manage contact lists. You can record details of any attempted or successful contacts.

In the Contact Expert window, you can view all of the information necessary when organizing and storing your telephone contacts, and ensure that a record exists for all contacts you make.

The information available in each field and list in the Contact Expert window:

• Expert Field:The office expert item name is displayed in this field.

• Report Field:The report name is displayed in this field.

• Count Field:The number of records contained in the report is displayed in this field.

• ID/Name List:The identification number and name for each record contained in the report are displayed in this drop-down list.
  
  Note: Records containing deferred contacts are displayed in grey. If the selected record is listed on other Office Expert reports, that information is displayed at the bottom of the left pane.

• Auto Dialer List:A list of numbers associated with a record is displayed in this drop-down list. If applicable, the name and age of the record is displayed to the right of the drop-down list.

Log Contact Tab:

• Previous Contacts Lists:The date and time the previous contact was entered, the subject of the contact, and the contact status are displayed in this drop-down list.

• Note Field - Previous Contact:Any contact notes associated with the previous contact are displayed in this field.

• Name Field - Current Contact:The name of the current contact is displayed in this field.

• Status Field - Current Contact:The status of the current contact is displayed in this field.

• By Field - Current Contact:The contact method for the current contact is displayed in this field.

• By Whom Field - Current Contact:The user ID of the person who entered the current contact is displayed in this field.

• Subject Field - Current Contact:The subject of the current contact is displayed in this field.

• Expected By Field - Current Contact:The expected by date for the current contact is displayed in this field.

• Received On Field - Current Contact:The received on date for the current contact is displayed in this field.

• Notes - Current Contact:Select a note from the drop-down list to display it in the Notes field.

• Defer Contact List:If you check the Defer Contact checkbox , select a date from the Defer Contact drop-down list. The contact is deferred until that date.

• Depending on the report used to generate contact expert information, additional tabs containing report-specific information are displayed in the Contact Expert window.

The following buttons are available in the Contact Expert window:

• Dial:Displays the SmartDialer window.

• View Previous Contact:Displays the Contacts for window.

• Contact And Remove:Logs the contact information and removes a record from the left pane of the Contact Expert window.

Commands associated with the contact expert are displayed in the Options section of the Express bar or can be accessed from the Options menu.
