If you use a P.O. box for your practice address, some payers may not accept a P.O. box as an address of where work was done. In this case, you need to create a treatment location address, and you will need to indicate which address to put on a claim.
You can set up both a practice (billing) address and a treatment address, if your office uses one, using the Treatment Location Preferences window.
You can access this window from several areas of the software, including:
Practice Information window (File > Practice)
Insurance Settings window (System > Change System Settings > Insurance)
Insurance Wizard (Wizards > Insurance Wizard)
To create a treatment location:
Select an option:
The Treatment Location Preferences window is displayed.
In the Treatment Location section, type the address where work is performed.
In the Claim Address Preferences section, select the locations to use for your billing address and your treatment address, using the drop-down arrows.
Click OK.
