Using Common Commands

Common command buttons are displayed in most windows.

The Common command buttons are:

• Cancel:Cancel:Cancels the current operation. Any changes made are not saved, and any options selected are not enabled.

• Close:Close:Exits the active window.

• Enter:Enter:Saves information while in Add or Edit mode and displays the highlighted record in a list window.

• OK:OK:In a tabbed window, saves any changes or new information. In a message, proceeds with the operation or accepts the selected options.
  In windows that do not have an edit command, closes the windows.

• Esc:Esc:Cancels the operation and closes the window.
