Converting Documents to Clinical Images or Portraits

You can create an intraoral, STV, 3rd party x-ray, or portrait image copy of a patient document. Converted clinical images are displayed beneath the Clinical Images section of the tree.

To convert a document to a clinical image:

1. In the Documents for patient window, select the document from the Documents section of the tree, right-click the document in the preview pane, and select Convert to Carestream Imaging format. The Select Clinical Image Type window is displayed.

2. Select the image type from the drop-down list, and click OK.
