Configuring System Phone Preferences

The System Phone Preferences window enables you to specify how the software uses phone numbers.

To configure system phone preferences:

Select System > Change System Settings > General System. The General System Settings window is displayed.
Click Phone Preferences. The System Phone Preferences window is displayed.
Select from the following options:
Use 10-digit Phone Numbers:Use 10-digit Phone Numbers:Select this option to always include area codes with phone numbers.
Default new Patient and Account area codes to Practice area code:Default new Patient and Account area codes to Practice area code:Select this option to have the software enter the area code of the practice in phone number fields for new patients and accounts.
