Setting Up Insurance > Handling Insurance Plan Information
Frequently, a patient will ask what his remaining insurance benefit is. This information is found on the Patient Guarantors window. You can access this window from several areas in the software.
To check insurance benefits from the PhoneCenter:To check insurance benefits from the PhoneCenter:
Click View PhoneCenter on the Power bar. The Phone Center window is displayed.
Type the patient's name in the Find field. The Phone Center window is displayed with the patient record selected.
If several patients are on the account, select the name of the patient, and click Insurance Info. The Patient Guarantor window is displayed.
Verify the insurance information and click OK.
Click Patient List Window on the Power bar. The Patient List window is displayed.
Select the patient name.
Click Guarantors. The Patient Guarantor window is displayed.
Verify the insurance information and click OK.

Click InOffice Window on the Power bar. The InOffice window is displayed.
Select the patient name and click Patient. The Patient Information window is displayed.
Click Guarantors. The Patient Guarantors window is displayed.
Verify the insurance information and click OK.
