To remind you to make an appointment for a contact

\SDA [LAST NAME]

(Enter this command in the last name field for a contact.)

Tip: To help with scheduling, describe the appointment in the note field on the Palm organizer

Places a reminder memo in the memo list that specifies an appointment should be made for the contact. The memo displays in blue.

To remind you to call a contact

\SDC [LAST NAME]

(Enter this command in the last name field for a contact.)

[NOTE]

Tip: To help with contact processing, describe the nature of the call in the note field on the Palm  organizer.

Places a memo in the memo list that specifies a call should be made to the specified contact. The memo displays in blue.

To update the patient or referring doctor’s phone and address information

\SDU [LAST NAME]

(Enter this command in the patient or referring doctor last name field after making changes to the record.)

[ADDRESS OR TELEPHONE NUMBER UPDATE ON LIST ENTRY]

(Enter telephone number or address changes for the patient or referring doctor record.)

Important: Phone information must be entered on the Palm organizer in the following manner: (555) 555-1212 x123. The area code must be included within the parentheses, the main phone number within the dash, and the extension after the "x" in order for the PC SoftDent software to read the information correctly.

Updates the following fields on the referring doctor or patient record:

• street address

• zip code

• state

• city

• phone numbers

To create a refill record for the existing Rx record

\SDR [RX RECORD]

(Enter this command in the last name field for a patient in the Recent Rx category.)

Places a refill in the patient’s prescription information for an existing prescription.

Lists the patient’s preferred pharmacy.
