Adding Prescription Drugs

Before using the software to prescribe a drug, you must enter the drug information into the drug database.

To add a drug:

  1. Select List > Prescription Drugs. The Drug List window is displayed in FIND mode.

  2. Click Add. The Drug window is displayed.

  3. Type the drug name, prescription, and refill information in the fields.

  4. Select an option:

  5. To prescribe this drug:To prescribe this drug:Select Prescriptible by this office. If this checkbox is not selected, the drug is used only in medical histories.

  6. To trigger a medical alert when prescribing this drug:To trigger a medical alert when prescribing this drug:Select Trigger Medical History/Medical Alert.

  7. To print your DEA number on the prescription:To print your DEA number on the prescription:Select Print DEA Number.

  8. To include additional notes:To include additional notes:Type the note in the Additional Note Text field.

  1. Click Close.
