Adding Bluebook Entries

To add a new bluebook entry for an insurance plan:

  1. Select List > Bluebook. The Bluebook entries for Plan window is displayed.

  2. Select a plan from the Plan drop-down list.

  3. In the Insurance Plan List window:In the Insurance Plan List window:Select an insurance plan and select Bluebook from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

  4. In the Insurance Plan window:In the Insurance Plan window:Select Bluebook from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

The Bluebook entries for window is displayed.

  1. Click Add. The Bluebook entries for window is displayed in ADD mode. The plan number, plan name, and office identification number are displayed at the top of the window.

  2. Select a code and press Tab. The code's fee schedule information or insurance plan's coverage information is displayed.

  3. To modify the information that is displayed in any of the fields, see Editing Bluebook Entries.

  4. Type any notes in the Notes field.

  5. If an appointment is made for this procedure and for a patient covered by this plan, the note is displayed in the Assistant.

  1. To set age, waiting period, or tooth limitation, click the Limitations tab. The Limitations tab is displayed.

  2. Select an option:

  3. To set an age before and after which the procedure is not performed:To set an age before and after which the procedure is not performed:Select Age Limit, select the age restriction, and type the age in the Patient must be _ years old to receive this service field.

  4. To set a waiting period before which the procedure should not be performed:To set a waiting period before which the procedure should not be performed:Select Wait Period and type the month in the field.

  5. To restrict the procedure to a specific tooth or teeth:To restrict the procedure to a specific tooth or teeth:Select Tooth Limitation and click Select Teeth. The Teeth Covered by Insurance window is displayed. Select the teeth and click OK.

  1. Click OK.
