Carestream Dental knows that for you to get the most from your product, training is essential. We, therefore, have several options and hope that you will take advantage of our resources.
Explore the Carestream Dental Institute (CDI) for self-paced content anytime, day or night. This online library of training content, available to customers with a valid support agreement, requires a login.
Register for a webinar to learn about a topic or feature or take one of our New Employee Workshops if you are new to a practice.
Carestream Dental also sells additional training for those who need it. Contact us to discover your options so that we can reserve a time to work with you and your team.
The CDI contains recorded classes, job aids, handouts, and links to other materials for every Carestream Dental product. It is a great resource for new team members to learn the basics of the PracticeWorks software and for anyone to take a refresher course or learn what’s new.
To use the Carestream Dental Institute, you must register with a valid, unique email address. There are a couple of ways to register:
Work with your implementations coordinator when you are implementing a new product or service. He or she will register everyone in your practice, and your login information will be emailed to you.
Use the instructions below to request an account for yourself or others in your practice.
To register for a CDI account:
Click here or type www.gosensei.com/cdirequest into the internet browser address field.
Complete the form and click Submit.
Within two business days, you will receive an email from dentalinstitute@csdental.com with instructions to complete your registration and log in.
There are two ways to find relevant classes in the CDI:
Go to My Learning > My Assignments to review learning plans assigned to you at the time of implementation. Learning plans are product-related groups of content in a recommended order. Expand the learning plan to start the individual items.
Go to the Course Catalog for your product.
Assign yourself content from the Learning Plan tab. Expand the learning plan to view its contents and then click the green plus sign to assign it to yourself and start individual courses.
Find individual recorded courses on the Catalog tab. Scroll through the content list or search for a key word. Ctrl-F displays a search field.
Find job aids, handouts, and other related documentation on the Documentation tab.
Link to the product’s Help from the Online Help tab.
Carestream Dental offers other options for training:
New Employee Workshops are interactive webinars developed especially for new users. Workshops are available quarterly and are free to users in practices with a valid support agreement. Click here to find the schedule and register for an upcoming event.
Live remote training is available at an hourly rate or bundled in three-hour increments for those who want one-on-one time with a trainer. Live remote training is customized to the needs of the user or practice. To make the most of your time with a trainer, we recommend that you complete related self-paced content, and that you put together a list of specific questions.
