Implementing Treatment Plans

To implement a treatment plan:

  1. Create one or more treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis, using the charting module.

  2. Present the plans to the patient for approval. This can be done on-screen or by printing a treatment proposal.

  3. If appropriate, print an insurance pre-determination, and then enter the results when the insurance company responds.

  4. Obtain the patient's acceptance of a treatment plan. If you have presented more than one plan, only one can be accepted and worked on at a time.

  5. Optional, but recommended: Define the appointments needed to complete the plan. Group procedures together into appointments, called visits, and define the details of each visit. Determine the amount of Producer and Non-Producer time for each procedure.

  1. Schedule the procedures.
