PracticeWorks interfaces with the Amazing Charts electronic health record (EHR) system, enabling you to export patient data and appointments.
This integration provides Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) certification, and enables a certified integration with an Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
To set up this integration, you must purchase and download the software from Amazing Charts. You must also have this feature enabled in your PracticeWorks license. Select Help > About PracticeWorks > Show License Details to verify that Amazing Charts Export Module is set to Yes. For more information, contact your Carestream Dental representative.
Before you can enable the Amazing Charts integration, you must meet the following criteria:
PracticeWorks software, version 7.6 or higher
Amazing Charts software installed and configured
Mirth Connect software installed on the server computer
To enable the integration in the PracticeWorks software:
Select File > Preferences > Amazing Charts Export setup... The Amazing Charts Setup window is displayed.
Select Enable Amazing Charts Export.
Click OK.
If the checkbox is disabled, the reason is listed below it.
When using Amazing Charts with PracticeWorks, the following patient information is exported from PracticeWorks to a folder to be accessed from Amazing Charts:
Patient demographics
Insurance plan information
Appointment data
