After purchasing the PEARL Module, you will receive an email that contains:
The practice key enables you to install, configure, and use the PEARL Module as defined by the terms of your software agreement.
The practice key is required to complete installation of the PEARL Module Server. If you have misplaced your practice key, contact Carestream Dental Support for assistance.
If you are upgrading a previous version of the PEARL Module, you will not need to enter the practice key again.
Before installing the PEARL Module, confirm that your operating system meets or exceeds the specifications listed in the system requirements for your practice management software.
The PEARL Module Server requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. You can download the .NET Framework from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net35-sp1.
Install the PEARL Module Server on the machine where your practice management data resides. Verify that the server is on, and that your practice management software is installed and launches successfully. Database services must be running for the PEARL Module to serve data to your handheld device.
You must install the PEARL Module Server on the practice management software server before you can install the PEARL Module on other devices.
To install the PEARL Module Server software:
From the practice management software server, open the link provided in the PEARL Module welcome email.
Save the .zip file to a local directory.
Extract the contents of the .zip file and double-click PEARLSetup.exe.
The executable file works for all supported Carestream Dental DPMS products.
Follow the installation prompts to install the PEARL Module Server. The installer automatically detects and inserts the necessary details for your practice management database.
When prompted, enter the practice key. If this is an upgrade, the practice key will be imported automatically, and you will not be prompted to enter it.
Confirm that there are no spaces preceding or following the practice key. Any spaces will prevent the installer from recognizing the entered key information.
Click Close.
Return to the directory that contains the extracted zip file and double-click MTM_Mobile_For_SoftwareName.
Follow the installation prompts.
Click Close.
