Highlighting a Root

You can highlight areas of an x-ray to more easily identify items such as nerve canals.

To highlight an area:

  1. Right-click the x-ray and select Root Highlighter from the drop-down menu. The Root Highlighter toolbar is displayed.

  2. Use the Root Highlighter toolsRoot Highlighter tools to specify the brush attributes.

    Brush PatternBrush Pattern- Click to select a brush shape.

    Brush ColorBrush Color- Click to select a highlight color.

    SizeSize- Use the Size slider to specify the brush size.

    DensityDensity- Use the Density slider to specify the opacity of the highlight.

    LowLow- Use the Low slider to specify the highlighter's low point. For example, if you specify a low point of 5 pixels, the highlighter ignores areas of the x-ray which contain fewer than 5 pixels.

    HighHigh- Use the High slider to specify the highlighter's high point. For example, if you specify a high point of 216 pixels, the highlighter ignores areas of the x-ray which contain more than 216 pixels.

    Clear AllClear All- Click to erase the entire highlight.

  3. Click and drag to highlight the area of interest.
