Acquiring a Multi-Page Scanner Image

You can scan multiple pages and save them in a visit as a single file.

To acquire a multi-page image from a scanner:

  1. Select a visit in the Table of Contents.

  2. Right-click and select Add > Document (PDF).

  3. When your scanner software is launched, acquire the image using that software.

If your scanner is equipped with a multi-page optionIf your scanner is equipped with a multi-page option, use that functionality to scan all pages.

If your scanner does not have a multi-page optionIf your scanner does not have a multi-page option, scan one page at a time. After each scan, your scanner software is launched again, enabling you to scan the next page. When you have scanned all pages, cancel the next acquisition. The pages are saved as a single document.

The image is transferred to the patient’s chart from the scanner software.
