Performing Treatments and Analyses > Performing a Treatment Objective > Surgical Treatment Objectives
When simulating an STO, you select the landmarks necessary to complete the analysis. After you have digitized the landmarks, the analysis and the measurements are displayed. If you select another analysis, you do not need to re-digitize any points that were made on a previous tracing using the same cephalometric image. You are prompted for only the new points.
To simulate surgical treatment using the STO feature:
Click on a visit in the Table of Contents and click the Lateral Treatment tab. The planner module is displayed.
If the image requires calibration, a message is displayed and you must calibrate the image before completing the simulation.
Click the drop-down list to display the available surgical operations and select an option.
Click the Surgery button to perform the most recent operation. A copy of the selected tracing is created, and the New Tracing Name window is displayed. Type a new name in the field provided or accept the default name.
Click OK. The Surgical Movements window is displayed.
