Setting Cephalometric Imaging Preferences
To set options for working with cephalometric images:

Click
. The CS OMS Imaging Software Preferences window is displayed.

Click the CS X-Ray tab.

In the Ceph section, select one of the following Sharpness Filter options:

Sharpness:Applies Sharpness filter to the image.

No Sharpness:Displays an unfiltered image.

Linear:Select to display images with a default pseudo-gamma value of 48.
-
Optimized Contrast:Select to increase the contrast.

Bone Density:Select to display the optimal contrast for analyzing bone density.

Edges:Select to display the optimal contrast for identifying the edges in an image.

Select Apply Sharpness FilterSelect to apply the Sharpness filter to acquired x-ray images, increasing the contrast and simplifying the identification of grayscales contained in the x-ray image.

Select Mirror Lateral Ceph DRThis option is available only for cephalometric images acquired using the CS 8000C digital cephalometric unit.

Click OK.
