Setting Archive and Restore Preferences

Use the Image Archive tool to configure defaults for archiving and restoring patient image charts.

To set archive and restoration preferences:

Select Start > All Programs > CS OMS Imaging > Imaging Archive. The CS OMS Imaging Preferences window is displayed
Specify the archive folder for patient image charts.
Specify the archive software used to transfer archived data to external media. The specified software opens automatically after the archive process is complete. This field is not required.
This option is available only if Staged for later copy is the selected transfer option.

Enter the command line parameters for your archive software. To determine the available command line parameters, see the documentation provided with your archive software. This field is not required.
Specify the maximum size of the media to which archived image charts are copied to backup.
Specify the type of data transfer used in your archiving process. Select Direct copy to media if archived image charts are copied directly to archive media. Ensure this external drive is specified in the Archive Folder field.
Select Staged for later copy if image charts tagged for archive are copied to a folder and held until they are copied to backup media.
Click OK.
