Creating a Painting

A painting is a copy of the image currently displayed in the Image workspace. Creating a painting from an image produces a copy of the image, enabling you to alter the copy while preserving the original image.

To create a painting:

1. Right-click the screen and select Edit > Create Painting. The Add a new object window is displayed.

2. Select a painting type from the drop-down list.

OR

Create a new painting type by clicking New. Enter a descriptive name in the field provided.

3. Click OK. The painting is displayed in the image chart Table of Contents, labeled according to the painting type you selected.
