Creating a New Visit

When creating a new visit, you can download images and associate them with a gallery. Each gallery type requires different images.

Example:If you select the Intra-Oral gallery, you are prompted to download only intraoral images.

To create a new visit and download images:

1. In your practice management software, open the patient’s record and click the Imaging button. The Image Chart window is displayed.

2. The appearance of the Imaging button depends on your practice management software.

2. Click on the toolbar. The Add New Visit window is displayed.

3. Select the visit type from the drop-down list.

   To create a new visit type, click New, enter a unique visit name, and click OK.

4. You can also define new visit types in the Object Types Editor window. See Using the Object Types Editor for more information.

4. If necessary, click and type in the Description field.

5. Select the gallery type from the drop-down list.

6. To acquire all bitmap and movie objects in the import folder specified in your preferences, select Batch Acquire.

6. Click OK. The Table of Contents is updated to reflect the new visit and objects.

• If you selected the Batch Acquire option, all files are downloaded into the visit. Otherwise, the Add Image window is displayed. The Add Image window displays the default import folder.

To select a different visit, click its folder in the Table of Contents.
